Chapter Twenty-Six
The next few days, Colton came to their house for dinner nearly every alternate day. He either went on dates with random girls or ended up at their house. Sofia didn't approve of him much but since Davion loved him like his own brother, she didn't object to his coming. However, the more she came to know about him, the more she was determined to keep Victoria away from him.
Her classes had started and Francis was assigned the job of driving her to and from college. Sofia had settled in and liked the friendly ambiance there. She made up for the classes that she had missed soon. At home, Greta and Sofia had a good rapport with one another and chatted and giggled and gossiped about everything around, from Francis's girlfriend to Colton's latest night stand.
Davion was the most loving husband on earth and he always returned home on time and spent his time with her. Victoria had been calling her incessantly to take an update on Colton but she ignored her calls. She knew that Victoria was stubborn and if she crushed on someone, she did it for life. It wouldn't be easy to dissuade her.
After the twentieth call, Sofia gave up and accepted the call. "Why are you avoiding me, Sofi?" Barked a displeased Victoria into the phone.
"I wasn't. I was just busy," said Sofia, knowing fully well that her twin knew her too well to be convinced.
"Please don't give me that crap," grumbled Victoria. "So, tell me what have you found out about Colton?" She asked curiously.
"He isn't the right one for you, Vicky, " said Sofia with a sigh. Victoria scoffed.
"I'm no saint either. So tell me more about him," said Victoria, excitedly.
"Well! He hooks up with random girls every alternate night. He doesn't want commitments. He's a college dropout. He isn't serious about anything and isn't worth crushing on," said Sofia with a sigh.
"Impressive! Well let me decide that? I've already fallen for him, so it's no use warning me off him," said Victoria with a giggle.
"Vicky, this isn't a joke. Stop daydreaming about Colton Glenn, " said Sofia sternly.
"I can't. I'm coming down to Reno right after my exams," said Victoria excitedly.
"No Vicky. I'll come down to see you next month," said Sofia.
"We'll see about that," said Victoria. Sofia sighed as she disconnected the call. It was no use warning Victoria, she would do what she had decided to do. Nothing could make her change her mind!
Davion came home late and seeing Greta and the others gone for the day, he picked up his wife and went upstairs to their bedroom. "Davion, let's have dinner first," protested Sofia with a giggle.
"Dinner can wait," he said in a husky whisper, dumping her on the bed. He got rid of his clothes in a haste, his eyes not leaving hers even for a second. He climbed onto the bed and lay down next to her, his mouth covering hers in a wild and passionate kiss. Sofia kissed him back with equal passion, her arms fisting with his hair as they eagerly devoured each other's mouths.
His hands roamed around her body and ripped the clothes off her. Sofia gasped at the intensity of his need for her. His hot mouth trailed down her body to her wet folds. Sofia arched her body with need the moment she felt his hot mouth on her sensitive skin.
"Davion," a staggering moan escaped her mouth as she caught the bedsheet with one hand while the other tugged at his hair, pushing his head more into her. Davion groaned with need as he thrust his tongue in and out of her, building a crazy rhythm. Sofia's eyes rolled to the back of her head and she could feel the intense build-up deep within her, ready to gush out. He used his fingers as well as his tongue to please her in the most intimate way till she released her juices into his mouth.
Sofia sagged into the bed, sated and breathing hard. Davion came up towards her and positioned himself above her. In a single thrust, he was embedded deep within her. The next few minutes they made love again and again as Davion was insatiable and hard. Sofia lay exhausted on the bed while Davion went downstairs to get their dinner to the bedroom.
Sofia wore her clothes and sat waiting for Davion to return with the food. It was then that Sofia gasped at what they'd done. They had forgotten to use protection in their haste. What if she got pregnant? She sat like a statue even thinking about the possibility of a pregnancy. At eighteen, she hardly was capable of being a mom. She had no idea what to do and sat frozen on the bed.
Davion walked in carrying a tray of food which he set on a laptop table on the bed. Sitting down opposite to her, he noticed Sofia's trance-like state.
"What's wrong? Are you in pain?" Asked Davion, looking worried.
"No, I'm fine," said Sofia.
"Then why are you looking like you've seen a ghost?" Asked Davion.
"I just realized that we didn't use protection just now. What if I get pregnant?" She said hesitantly, looking very worried. Davion's mouth hung open with shock, realizing that she was right indeed.
"You can take the morning-after pill," said Davion and Sofia's eyes widened knowing what he was asking her to do.
"Don't you want children, Davion?" She asked hesitantly. She knew that although she was young and not prepared to be a mom yet she couldn't take the pill. If she got pregnant, she would manage somehow but she wouldn't take the pill.
"No, I hate children. I don't want to share you with anyone. I can't be a good dad when I know that I'll be jealous of them. So, you better take the pill. I don't need added responsibilities right now. In fact I don't want that sort of problem in my life, ever," said Davion, looking extremely agitated. Sofia's face fell and her heart broke hearing his words. She loved children and even if she wasn't ready to be a mom, she would definitely want a family later on in life, maybe after she completed her studies. Davion's words hurt her but she just nodded and they started to eat dinner.
The next morning, Sofia didn't take the pill that Davion had bought for her. Her assessments were coming up and she started studying hard. Colton came home just like before and brought one of his hook-ups one day. Greta and Davion were pissed off at him and after the girl left, Davion warned Colton to keep those girls away from his house. Colton took offense and left furiously. Davion didn't make any attempt to stop him.
"I can't entertain his wh*res," grumbled Davion, as he stormed upstairs to take a shower.
The next few days, Colton didn't come over for dinner and neither Davion not Greta invited him over. Sofia's assessments were complete and she heaved a sigh of relief. However, her relief was short-lived as she became violently sick.
"I think, the pork roast didn't suit you. I'll make bland food for you today, Sofia, " comforted Greta when Sofia threw up for the fifth time since morning. Davion had left for work in a haste before she even woke up. Last night Sofia wasn't in a mood for love-making which made Davion frustrated and very mad with her.
"I don't feel like eating, Greta, " said Sofia. Greta gave her medicines and Sofia fell asleep. The whole day she didn't have the wish to eat anything. Greta was upset too and insisted on taking her to the doctor but Sofia declined. She just didn't have the strength to go anywhere.
For dinner, Greta made her a bland chicken soup which she fed Sofia before going home. Davion came in late, pissed off with the whole world. He noticed that Sofia was already asleep and that made him all the more frustrated. He walked over to the bar and sat down to drink. He slept late and was still sleeping when Sofia woke up in the morning, feeling more nauseated than before.
After eating a ginger biscuit, Sofia sat down to sip on some clear soup. Davion woke up and completely ignored her, getting ready for work. Sofia felt hurt by his behavior. Did he just need her body? Did he not have any feelings for her? Sofia watched him get ready without casting a glance towards her.
"Why are you ignoring me?" Asked Sofia, not able to control herself.
"I'm not, you're the one who's ignoring my needs. Maybe you've found a younger guy at your college," he shrugged storming out of the room. Sofia's mouth hung open at his illogical statement. What the hell! Did he not know that she was unwell?
The front door banged shut and she closed her eyes at his impossible behavior.
