Chapter Thirty-Nine

Angela's eyes went wide with horror at the sight of Damian. This boy was really impossible. She pulled him inside her room quickly.

"What were you thinking Damian? Dad's home and so are all my brothers, " she whisper-shouted at him.

"What choice did I have? You left me all alone. You know I've got used to you. I can't sleep in that house all alone anymore, " he said with a strange sadness in his eyes.

"You have to get a grip over yourself and be stronger Damian. I'm just next door to you. You've always lived alone in your house. Uncle Ronald hasn't gone anywhere, he's watching over you from heaven. If you come here like this you'll be caught and dad would send me away again. Everything would be over before it even began, " she explained and Damian sighed.

"Yes, I get it. Just give me a kiss and I'll go away," He said with another sigh.

Angela pulled him towards the bed,"Lay down with me for a while. You can go afterward but down the stairs, not climbing here and there," she said, lying down and pulling him on top of herself.

"Are you sure? I can't lay down and keep my hands and lips to myself, you know," he winked.

"Who's asking you to, just be quiet," she whispered and he grinned and smashed his lips to hers, his hands going under her soft-top to her bare breasts.

He kissed her and kissed her, his tongue played with hers, his mouth tasted her deeply.  His hands played with her breasts teasing her nipples into pebbly peaks. His mouth left hers and he went down to suck her breast, one at a time. His other hand went down to her wet folds, pulling her panties and the shorts down in one sweep.

"I love how you respond to me," he whispered and she closed her eyes at the pleasure. He simply unzipped his sweatpants along with his briefs. He thrust inside her and she opened her eyes to see him staring at her eyes, "I want to stay inside you forever, Angel. I think I'm going crazy," he said and he kept thrusting in and out of her.

Angela stared back into his eyes, his mouth leaned down to hers to suck her lips. "Oh Damian, let's get married soon," she said and he swore in his head that he would do exactly that now.

As she reached her climax,  Damian too found his release inside her. They wore their clothes and lay together for some time. "I think I should leave. I'll see you at college tomorrow, " he said.

"Yes. Damian do check out what you missed in your online agriculture classes, Damian. That's what you want to pursue, right?" Reminded Angela.

Damian smacked his head. He had forgotten all about his agriculture classes in the last two weeks. He had to be serious now else he wouldn't pass his semester.

"Thanks, Angel for reminding me. Just wait and watch. I'll make you very proud of me," he promised.

"I already am proud of you but yes make me more proud. Then I will fight my dad and marry you," she said with a smile and a tight hug.

"I swear I will. Just wait and watch, " he said, turning to go down the balcony.

"No Damian, you will go down the stairs. You're too precious to me. I don't want you breaking your bones," she said pulling him along to the door of her room. She opened it silently and checked the other rooms. Thankfully all had closed doors. She tiptoed out followed by Damian. They tiptoed downstairs and Angela quickly opened her door and Damian rushed out. She closed the door, her heart thumping in her chest.

"Why was he here, Angie?" the voice of Arnold shocked her to the roots of her hair. She slowly turned around and came face to face with Arnold in his night suit.

"I, actually, he..," she stammered not knowing what to tell him.

"Did you both have sex?" he asked with a grim expression on his face.

"It's not what you're thinking,  Arnie. We love each other. We have chosen each other since we were thirteen. We're going to get married soon. He's very vulnerable and lonely after uncle Ronald's death. I can't leave him alone,  Arnie," she pleaded her eyes begging him to understand.

Arnold was quiet for some time. Then he shook his head,"Dad would never agree," he sighed.

"Why? What's wrong with Damian? Why can't dad be happy with my happiness?" She asked.

"I don't know Angie," he sighed.

"What made you think that dad wouldn't agree? He didn't object to your marriage," she argued.

Arnold sighed again, "Mom and dad had a huge fight when she was pregnant with you. They never patched up after that. Mom, dad, and Damian's parents ignored each other but after your birth, they became sworn enemies," informed Arnold.

"But I always went to their house since the day I was able to walk, " she said confusedly.

"Only you were allowed there. Uncle Ronald loved you. Okay now,  it's very late. Go to sleep. You have college tomorrow, " he said,  going upstairs to his room.

Angela went upstairs to her room with her mind all jumbled up. She couldn't figure out anything. She went to sleep at last, mentally exhausted.

The next morning, she drove to her college. Damian was eagerly waiting for her at the parking lot. "I was waiting for you. I need a kiss. Come here and kiss me," he said pulling her into his arms.

"Did you sleep last night?" She asked and he nodded.

She smiled,"I'm glad," she said appreciatively. She told him what Arnold told her last night.

"I'm so confused by all this," she said honestly.

"Just don't think too much about it. We'll be together even if our families were enemies, " he said meaningfully.

He held her head, tangling his fingers into her hair, and lowered his head to kiss her plump lips. "Bro, go to the janitor's closet," said a smirking Xavion as he climbed out of his car.

Damian groaned and released her. Xavion came forward and grinned at Damian's expression. They walked to their class. "You guys go ahead. I need to go to the administrative office. I'll be dropping architecture and opting for full-time agriculture classes," he said. They nodded and walked off to their class.

Damian joined them after fifteen minutes when the class was about to start. After classes, Damian whisked Angela away to the cafeteria. "What happened? Did they accept your application to drop out?" Asked Angela.

"No, since my marks are good, they want me to complete this term. They would issue a certificate which would add up to my credentials. Till then I'll continue this way," he informed her.

"Ok. Good enough. When do you have your online classes?" She asked him.

"Afternoon," he answered and she nodded. Xavion and Juliette caught up with them and they bought some sandwiches and coke. Afterward, they went back to their classes.

After college, Damian took her to uncle Jim's cafe. He greeted them cheerfully. Damian led her to a table decorated with red roses and balloons. "Whose birthday is it today?" She asked in confusion.

Damian chuckled but didn't answer. They ordered the same thing that they had eaten the last time they visited. After a delicious lunch, Angela was surprised by a Jim playing a soulful song on his violin beside their table.

Before she could realize what was happening, she found Damian kneeling before her on one knee. Her eyes widened as she realized what he was doing. "I've loved you all my life Angel. We've grown up together and we have come to realize that we're really meant for one another. We cannot live without one another and it's time to seal out fate together and unite as one. So will you marry me and be mine forever, Angel?" He said, holding her hands and staring into her eyes as the soft music filled their souls.

There wasn't any other answer to the question that she wanted to hear so badly. "Yes Damian, " she said as tears of happiness filled her eyes. Damian took out a ring from his pocket and slipped it onto her finger. It was a beautifully handcrafted diamond ring set upon two gold bands, twisted and fused together.

"It's so beautiful, Damian, " she gasped. He got up and held her in his embrace. Everyone in the cafe applauded and congratulated them. Jim hugged them both and showered them with his blessings and good wishes. They left the cafe feeling overwhelmed and blissfully happy.

"When will we announce to my dad?" She asked. Her brothers knew and they didn't have any objection to their wedding. Now the most difficult task lay ahead of them.

"We will when the time is right," Damian said, thinking hard. He didn't want the good times to end. He didn't know what the reality was but he knew that uncle Gerry didn't want them to be together at all.
