Chapter Nineteen

The next few days went by as the whole family geared up for the most talked about wedding of Travis Springs. Their guests had poured in and there was excitement in the air. The day of the wedding dawned and the bridal party trooped to Jayson's house to get ready. The wedding planner had arranged for hairdressers and makeup artists to get them all ready on time.

Juliette wore a pale lavender gown, with an illusion halter neck, an a-line silhouette, a figure-hugging embroidered bodice, and a side slit just like the other bridesmaids. She helped with everyone's hair. She also helped fix Karen's hair.

They went to the Sacred Heart Chapel where the wedding ceremony was taking place. The Sacred Heart chapel was decorated with roses, ranunculus, greenery, and bougainvillea arch at the entrance, with sweeping tulle fabric tied at the doorway. The entire aisle was strewn with rose petals. Small floral arrangements, the same as her bridal bouquet was placed in small pots along the edges of the aisle. Pockets of brightly colored flower arrangements were placed near the area where they would perform the rituals and unity ceremonies.

Jade handed Karen her bridal bouquet made of quicksand roses, anemones, garden roses, astilbe, ranunculus, and greenery in a classic style. The ceremony was about to start, the music started as Jayson and Jaden waited with the marriage officiant for his bride. The music started and the bridal procession started. Karen looked so ethereal in her wedding fineries that Juliette wished that she were in Karen's shoes, getting married to Xavion. Xavion? No, she wouldn't marry Xavion. He could marry his latest crush.

The ceremony began as they were united together in the eyes of God, destined to be with each other, through all ups and downs.

Jayson kissed his bride and the crowd cheered them as they left for the photographs outside at the arch. Soon they left for his dad's home for the reception party while Juliette went home. At home, Juliette went up to her room to freshen up. Then she joined the party and danced with her cousins.

The reception area was decorated with a grand floral arch at the entrance of a huge white tented structure with an exotic garland of greenery and paper lanterns hanging paired with floral wreaths and ribbons decorated the entire space. A mobile cocktail bar was set up with the sea of cocktails ready and waiting for the guests to take and the bartender busy mixing together some fruity mocktails for the kids so they don't feel left out.

Long wooden tables covered with white cloth were placed on one side for all the guests to sit together and eat. They were decorated with beautiful brocade table runners and centerpieces made of a patch of moss, a romantic terrarium, candles, a few blooms, and a succulent or two. The dance area was segregated with a makeshift low stage created.

When the music played, the newlyweds enjoyed their first dance together as a married couple. Jayson was in a hurry to whisk his bride away to his home. So the moment the celebrations were over, he picked up his bride and left amidst loud jokes and cheers from his friends. The others stayed and enjoyed the party, dancing, drinking, and singing.

Juliette left the party to go inside the house and take a shower and call it a day when she was picked up bridal style and placed inside a truck. Looking up she stared confusedly at Xavion.

"Where are you taking me Xavion?" She asked, struggling to open the door and escape, but it was locked. She panicked, where was he taking her all of a sudden?

"I'm abducting you to my island. Spend a few days with me. That's the only way you'll know me," he said as her jaws dropped in shock as she gaped at him.

"Abducting me? What nonsense?" She said, words refusing to come out of her mouth. She was too scared to even think of an escape plan. This guy was impossible. It was so sudden that she couldn't think straight.

"I'll scream, " she said when suddenly he held a napkin of chloroform. She lost her consciousness and her eyes slowly closed as she lay limp on the passenger seat of the truck.

"I'm sorry darling, this is the only way, " said Xavion as he drove towards the airport. He had his personal helicopter which would take them to Crystal island. He had built a small helipad there. He knew how much she loved Crystal island. She wanted to spend her whole life with him there. So that was where they should become one. He would keep her there till she accepted her love for him and became his.

Damian was looking after his company in his absence. He had joined Radiant Architectural Solutions as his right hand and he couldn't be happier. He was glad to have him as his best friend. He never disappointed him. They had become more like brothers than best friends. Both had each other's backs since they were children. Their friendship was the only constant in their lives.

He had asked Hannah to take a break and sent her and her son away to their home on the mainland. If needed he would summon them. Till then he would have Juliette all to himself.

He had to clear the misunderstandings that had been stretching for so long. When Juliette told him to go look in Candice's room, he did just that. That was how he came to know the existence of those photographs. He found his clothes and the packet of condoms too. Even after Candice left, she had staged this last trump card to break them apart.

She had succeeded so far since Juliette and he never got an opportunity to clear everything. He knew she loved him. The day she came to his office and saw his wound and kissed him, he was 100% sure. He was compelled to take this initiative. It was his last option. He knew she was scared but he would take care of her and comfort her when she came to her senses.

They reached the airport and he scooped up an unconscious Juliette in his arms bridal style and climbed onto his helicopter. The pilot flew towards Corpus Christi. Thankfully Juliette didn't regain conscious consciousness during the flight. In 45 minutes they reached the island and landed on Xavion's private helipad.

He got down with Juliette in his arms and after thanking his pilot, went towards the house which was a few feet away.

Hoisting Juliette over his shoulder he opened the main gate and went inside. He walked up the paved pathway and went up to the main door. He unlocked the main door and then locked it back securely. Going straight upstairs to his huge bedroom, he deposited Juliette on the bed.

He stared at her in her bridesmaid's dress. She looked so enticing that he couldn't wait for her to wake up. He undressed her slowly. He had missed her so much, he realized as he changed her into one of his shirts. He had bought enough clothes and essentials and sent them here earlier. Hannah had stocked food and other necessities to last them at least 10 days.

It was nearly 2 o'clock in the morning and he changed into a pair of sweatpants and climbed onto the bed beside Juliette. He pulled her into his bare chest and cuddled her to himself. It felt so good and he waited eagerly for the day when he could have her in his arms forever.

Tomorrow morning he would deal with the shock that Juliette would receive at being abducted and brought to Crystal Island against her wishes. He didn't know how she would react but he would deal with that too. Maybe after the initial shock, she would recover and realize that he was really framed in all this drama by Candice. Maybe she would realize that they were meant for each other after all.

A slight movement woke him up. He opened his eyes to see the sunlight streaming through the curtains. His eyes fell upon Juliette who was just opening her eyes. She squinted at the light and then she looked around the room she was in. Her face mirroring the shock she was feeling.

Was she dreaming? This wasn't her bedroom at Travis Springs. She had just left the party last night and....? A sudden realization dawned upon her. Xavion had abducted her! She looked around. She must be dreaming or was this their bedroom on Crystal island a long time back. Was she really on Crystal Island? But how?

She screamed in fright. She tried to get up but couldn't. A heavy hand was clasping her tightly. She turned and stared into the mesmerizing green eyes of her abductor Xavion Alexander.

"Xavi, why have you brought me here? She yelled angrily.

"My wish. I want to spend time with you. Don't you think it's high time we faced the truth? We are all alone here. So scream all you want, " he said, grinning. He was too excited that at last she woke up and he could work upon his mission of making Juliette his. Only his.

"Alone here? Are we on Crystal island?" She asked him with rounded eyes.

"Don't tell me you've forgotten already. I have to remind you of the good times we had here. Believe me, baby, I'm not going to control myself anymore. I'll make love to you again and again till every cell in your body screams out and tells me how much you love me," he said, kissing her neck and biting it gently with his teeth, his hand going to her thighs and under the shirt to the wetness between her legs. He groaned and inserted his finger into her wet folds, thrusting in and out of her.

Juliette looked at herself and gasped. Xavion had undressed her. Gone was her bridesmaid gown and in its place, she was clad only in Xavion's tee shirt? A moan escaped her and Xavion captured her lips in a punishing kiss. He wildly kissed her, sliding his tongue into her mouth as he branded her. Juliette kissed him back only to realize that she should be angry with him. She pushed him away forcefully and he stared at her helplessly, shocked at her sudden change of mood.

"God, you're so impossible. Now move, I need to go to the washroom, " she said, getting up and going to the ensuite.

She had to get out of this place or else she would fall for Xavion's charms again. But how? Feeling wet and sticky, she took a shower. Maybe she would find a way after the cool, fresh shower.

Feeling better after a shower, she searched for a towel. The shelves were empty. There was no towel! She hadn't brought any clothes too in her frustration. She couldn't believe the way she melted in his arms just now. She was too embarrassed at her body's reaction to him. What would she do now?

There was only one way. Asking Xavion for help. He was the last person she wanted to ask for anything. After that show of helplessness at his mere touch, she couldn't look him in the eye. God, couldn't she just die?

She contemplated whether to ask him or not till she just gave up and decided to take the chance and take help.
