Chapter Eleven

Juliette loved his touch, she was as aroused as he was. "I don't want to get pregnant, Xavi, " she said, a little hesitantly.

"You won't, " he said, looking at her with desire filled eyes.

He opened his tee shirt and went down to her throbbing core, parting her legs and kissing her folds, his tongue thrusting in and out. She clung to the sheets moaning out his name till she released her hot juices. Xavion sucked and licked her clean. It was the first time she felt so good.

A sudden loud crash separated them. "What was that?" Asked Xavion, worriedly.

He wore his tee shirt and Juliette too wore her clothes. They went out to see that the sky looked dark with thunder clouds looming over them.

A flash of lightning and a loud rumble of thunder could be heard from the distance.

"There weren't any storm clouds when we arrived," said Xavion, looking at the sky.

"Yeah, I hate thunderstorms, " she said, pouting.

"Are you scared of them? You could cling to me like the female protagonists do in romantic movies or books," he said, grinning and Juliette rolled her eyes.

"High hopes! No, I don't like them, but I'm not that scared of them," said Juliette as Xavion showed mock disappointment.

They grinned at each other and went out to the gardens. "If there wouldn't be any thunderstorm, we could go out and get soaked in the rain," she said.

"Yeah, maybe if the thunder stops," said Xavion.

They sat in the living area and watched the storms approaching through the huge bay windows. Hannah came in and went upstairs to close all doors and windows.

"The storms are pretty violent here because of the sea," she said closing all the windows and doors downstairs too, except the one that they were sitting at. "You can close that when the storm arrives, " she said and they both nodded. "Shall I serve lunch? You haven't eaten yet."

"Yeah, we forgot.," said Xavion and Hannah grinned knowingly and went to the kitchen to serve lunch.

They ate the delicious food and thanked Hannah profusely for the wonderful lunch that she prepared for them.

The storm brewed up and lashed out with tremendous force, the trees swayed and the winds picking up speed. Xavion and Juliette watched from inside the house. There was nothing much to do with the thunderstorms lashing outside except watch nature.

"Don't worry, the storm will pass in minutes. It doesn't last long," said Hannah and Juliette smiled.

She wanted to go outside and explore the island with Xavion but with the storms outside, she was stuck inside.

The storm receded as quickly as it arrived. They opened the windows to fresh wet air filling their lungs. The soft pitter patter of raindrops stopped too and Xavion and Juliette went outside wearing boots that they borrowed from Hannah and Bob. They explored the island, jumping over broken branches, poking into crab holes on the beach. Juliette collected pretty shells to make a bracelet for herself.

Xavion collected pretty flowers and tied it in a bouquet with vines and gifted her. "For the love of my life," he said. Juliette thanked him with a kiss, accepting his gift.

They saw baby turtles and clicked pictures with them. Xavion caught a huge fish which was stuck in a water hole on the beach. Xavion released it into the ocean after clicking a picture with it.

They returned by late afternoon to the mansion. Juliette showered and changed in the en-suite while Xavion took his clothes and went to another bedroom to shower and change.

They watched a movie while Hannah made dinner. After dinner they went out for a walk. Hand in hand they strolled in the moonlit night along the beach. The moonlight cast a spell on everything around, the sand shone like bright pearls in the moonlight. The waves shimmered like jewels as they hit the beach again and again. The owls hooted from the trees skirting the beach.

They walked and talked about everything, from their current lives to what their dreams were for the future.

"Are dad and Jayson still going to your company?" Asked Juliette.

"Yes, only once a week, to check my progress or to see if I need any more help," said Xavion.

"So, what are your plans for the future?" Xavion asked Juliette.

"Right now I just want to concentrate on getting my university degree. After that I'll apply for a job somewhere, " she said.

"You could join me for your internship," he said and she thought about it.

"Maybe after next semester when I've learnt something. I can't multitask right now," she said and he agreed.

"You know uncle Dave is shifting to LA with his wife by next month. You could move in with me then," he suggested.

"I'll think about it. I don't want to make dad upset," she said and he nodded in understanding.

They walked for a little while more and went back. They kissed and made out a little and then went to sleep.

The next day was their last day here. They would have to leave after lunch, so they made the most out of the time they had with each other. Going for a swim, playing on the sandy beach, fishing in the little pond, taking lots of pictures and enjoying themselves.

"I want to live here with you Xavi, " said Juliette, pouting. She didn't want to leave the beautiful island which held happy memories of them together.

"We will come back baby, again and again. It's ours. I bought it for you," said Xavion. He didn't want to go back to his hectic life again. The time they spent together were so precious that they didn't want it to end.

Reluctantly they climbed aboard his yacht 'Natalia' and said goodbye to their favourite place in the whole world, their precious Crystal Island.

The drive back wasn't fun as Juliette felt heartbroken at having to go back to their hectic lives where Xavion was too busy to spend much time with her. But she knew that she shouldn't complain. These were difficult times for him and yet he took out time every night to have dinner with her and cuddle with her to sleep.

So she tried to be happy and cheer him up. Xavion understood everything. He could read her like a book. He observed her minutely without her knowledge. He knew every little mole, curve or crease on her body. He knew her facial expressions. He could read her eyes, he could read her soul. That was the depth of his love for her.

They reached their apartment and Xavion escorted her to her door with her luggage. He kissed her forehead and left. He couldn't stay back as he had to look into the company transfer documents before they are actually signed tomorrow.

His uncle Chris and Jayson would arrive tomorrow and his uncle Dave would formally transfer all responsibilities to Xavion.

Juliette knew he was busy, so she went on with her assignments for the next day's class. She also had to submit a project, so she got busy.

Juliette waited eagerly for Xavion the next evening. She cooked dinner and waited like every evening. Her day at university was very hectic. Damian and Angela did not come to the university and she decided to call Angela and find out.

Angela sobbed over the mobile phone. They had announced their engagement to her family and it seemed her dad didn't want them to get married. Angela didn't know why. She was a month pregnant and things looked bleak for them. Juliette felt sorry for her. She promised to go and visit her at her aunt's house where Angela was currently staying.

She disconnected the call and checked the time. It was 9 o'clock at night. Xavion never came so late. She was worried. So she called his number and the call went to voicemail.

Was he busy? Was he tired? Not knowing what to do, she waited for another hour and then had dinner and after storing the leftovers in the refrigerator, she went to sleep.

The next day at university Damian came with an unshaven, shabby appearance and a heartbroken expression.

Juliette went and hugged him,"I had a talk with Angela, Damian. Stay strong and with each other. Angela's dad will see how much you love each other and accept it," she said.

"No, he won't. There's more to this than it appears Juliette, " he said.

"What do you mean?" Asked Juliette perplexed.

"I don't know exactly. But he panicked the moment we told him that we were engaged and planning to get married. Like he suddenly started acting weird. He said he liked me but Angela and I could never marry. He then mumbled something which I couldn't catch and then smacked his head five times and stomped out of the room," said Damian, with a confused expression.

"Maybe after a few days you could approach him and tell him that Angela's pregnant. Maybe then he would see all this from a different perspective," Juliette suggested and Damian looked at her.

"You're right Juliette. Angela's dropped regular classes. She had enrolled for online studies from her aunt's house, " he said.

"That's ok. Are you allowed to go there?" She asked.

"Yeah, her aunt's pretty broad-minded and she likes me," he said and Juliette smiled.

"Thank God. You give me her address. I'll drop by," she said and Damian dictated and she noted it in her mobile phone.

"Thanks," she said and they went to their next class.

She wanted to ask about Xavion but since Damian was so worried about his own problems she didn't want to bother him.

That evening too Juliette cooked and waited for Xavion but he didn't come. She tried calling him yet his phone was switched off. She completed her home assignments and had dinner and went to sleep. Maybe Xavion had extra classes and he just didn't get time to come to her apartment. Maybe his evening classes got over late.

The entire week she spent dragging herself to university and back, doing her chores, cooking for both, in case Xavion came hungry. She couldn't figure out what happened to him. He either didn't pick up her call, or his phone was switched off or went into voicemail.

Depressed, she dragged on. That weekend she waited at her apartment for him. She didn't goto Travis Springs in case he came in her absence. She was worried beyond words. She thought of going to his house and finding out but Xavion had said that his uncle Dave was weird, so she couldn't find the courage to go.

The weekend went by and Juliette sobbed heartbroken at not being able to get any information about Xavion. Did he take drugs again? Was he in the hospital again? They had never stayed away from each other for so long.

Unable to contain herself anymore, she finally burst into tears in front of Damian. He tried to console her. He promised to find out about Xavion and get back to her. Relieved, Juliette waited the whole day and evening for Damian's call.

The next day she asked him again for any update but Damian avoided the topic saying that Xavion would get back and call her later. She found his behaviour strange. It seemed that he didn't want to talk about Xavion. She was confused. Did they have a fight over something? Damian was acting strange.

She waited for Xavion's phone call everyday but it didn't come. She decided that she would wait the entire week and if he didn't call, she would go to his house or office and find out what happened to him.

Damian didn't come to college the rest of the week and she just dragged herself on. She still cooked for Xavion and waited every evening with the hope that he would come, but he didn't.

Eventually she sobbed herself to sleep hoping that maybe the next day she would see him.

Love is a very strange overwhelming emotion. It doesn't leave you at peace if the one you love isn't with you.
