Chapter Ten
Next day they went to college as usual. Wesley was in the hospital recuperating from Xavion's punches.
Jayson slammed a case against officer Drake for supporting his son in his illegal or criminal offenses. They furnished the evidence too in support of the cases.
Xavion's uncle went to the office in the morning when he was at university. After university Xavion went to his office and his uncle went out on a date. Xavion had the feeling that his uncle was avoiding him. His uncle knew that the company was sinking and he didn't want a discussion about it with Xavion maybe.
Xavion was relieved to see uncle Chris and Jayson in the afternoon. They stayed with him, discussing the company's performance reports for the last few years. They studied each project in detail. They called a meeting with all the department heads to discuss the issue demanding employee wise performance break up reports as well as project wise reports.
It was already dinner time by the time they were done. Uncle Chris and Jayson went home and a tired Xavion went to Juliette's house. He already had his books there. He sat and completed his assignments and ate dinner and went to sleep, tired.
Juliette felt very bad for him. He was burdened with so much at such a tender age, it wasn't fair. She wasn't happy with Xavion's uncle's behaviour.
The whole month went by in this manner. During the weekends too Xavion went to his office to plan and strategize with her dad and brother. In the evening they went out together, maybe to dinner or a walk in the park.
Wesley and his father faced trial for nearly a fortnight. He was convicted of attempted rape and sentenced to one and half year in jail with a fine of $5000. His father however used his powers to save his job and escape action. He somehow proved his absence at the crime scene with a valid alibi which was supported by senior officers and Jayson had no way of proving otherwise.
Xavion was happy that Wesley could be punished and he left the matter at that.
The months passed by and the end of the semester was near. They started studying rigorously for their exams. Xavion's hard work paid off and he could figure out everything about his company in the last six months that he spent with uncle Chris and Jayson.
His uncle Chris handled the company in his absence since he had to appear for his exams. His uncle Dave had a court marriage a month ago. He would leave in a month to permanently settle down in LA with his wife. The legal transfer of signing authority and every other formalities of legal transfer would happen after Xavion's exams.
Xavion felt guilty that he couldn't give Juliette much time but she understood him and always supported him. He took her to his house many times as his uncle lived with his wife at her house.
The exams went well for them and they were all promoted to the next semester. Xavion had to opt for evening and weekend classes. It didn't please him as he was left with virtually no time to spend with Juliette.
Still Juliette never complained. Even if she saw him once a day, she would be happy. She always made his favourite dinner and he made sure that he didn't miss it. After evening classes, Xavion would go to Juliette's apartment to have dinner and spend the night with her since he didn't have time in the daytime or weekends.
"How were your classes, Xavi?" She asked him curiously.
"Not as good as Elaine Robert's class but ok," he said honestly. He missed his regular classes too much.
"I know, she's the best, " she said, smiling.
"This weekend there is a holiday at university. I don't have any extra classes. Will you go on a date with me, Julie?" Asked Xavion.
"Yes, of course I will," she said and they grinned at each other happily. Juliette was so excited to go out with him. After that disastrous camping trip, they hadn't gone out anywhere.
"Where are we going, Xavi?" She asked.
"I bought a waterfront villa last month in Corpus Christi, ocean drive. Why not go there and spend two days together?" He asked and she jumped excitedly.
"When are we leaving?" She asked, unable to contain her excitement.
"Tomorrow after dinner, say around 8 o'clock at night we can leave. It's a three hour's drive away," he said and she nodded.
The next day, she packed excitedly and waited eagerly for Xavion to arrive. He came after his classes at 8 o'clock in the evening.
They had dinner and Juliette cleaned up fast.
"We can go tomorrow early in the morning, Xavi. You're tired and it's not safe to drive so far in the night," said Juliette and Xavion agreed. He really was very tired and didn't feel like driving, but he didn't wish to disappoint Juliette.
"Ok, baby, then we'll leave at 5 o'clock in the morning tomorrow. Let's go to bed," he said and they both went to sleep.
Next morning Juliette took a shower and woke up Xavion at 4:30 in the morning. She made coffee and sandwiches for breakfast and they ate. They were ready to leave by 5:10. Xavion's bag was already packed and stored in his car.
They excitedly drove to their destination discussing why beaches were their favourite destination. Both of them loved beaches. Xavion heard her mention once.
"You told me you love beaches. I bought this house for you. We'll come with our children here on vacations, " said Xavion, winking at her.
Her jaws dropped, "Our children? We're just 19 year olds, Xavi, " she said.
"So what? It will happen, believe me," he said, smiling. He wouldn't want to have children with anyone else. For him, Juliette was everything that he wanted.
"Look, Xavi, those dogs look so cute. It looks like they're a family, " she said as he glanced at a dog family with a mummy and a daddy golden retriever with five puppies going for a walk along with their master and his son.
"We'll also have five," he said, grinning.
"Holly molly! Five? I can't produce so many," she said, giggling as Xavion too laughed.
They left San Antonio and drove through the outskirts, through farms and ranches and rolling hill countryside, checking out the bluebonnet fields and fresh springs on the way.
They stopped at a roadside cafe for coffee and breakfast after a two hour drive.
They drove on and Juliette exclaimed excitedly, "Oooh, I can see the ocean, Xavi. How far from here?" She asked.
"Another twenty minutes by yacht," he said as he parked his car at a private garage. Juliette climbed down, perplexed, looking around the place. She saw the pier where a white yacht was anchored.
Xavion unloaded their luggage and she helped him. Then he led her to the yacht. A man came forward and loaded their luggage and Xavion helped her climb on board the yacht, "Natalia'.
"Welcome to my yacht, Julie," he said and she stared at him with round eyes.
"Your yacht?" She asked and he nodded.
"I bought it," he said.
"Oh, who's Natalia?" She asked, puzzled. Maybe she was his first love. She felt so jealous.
"That's my mom's middle name," he confessed in a soft voice. Juliette felt bad for jumping to conclusions. She quickly hugged him.
"I love it baby," she said and he grinned at her.
"I'm glad. I bought it for you. Lets go," he said as the man started the motor and steered the yacht onto the water, going at a steady pace.
"But where are we going?" She asked, looking around.
"You'll see," he said with a smile.
Juliette stared at the open water as they left the pier far behind, heading off into the ocean. She saw the seagulls and dolphins and squealed with delight. Xavion stood in one place, leaning against the railings mesmerised by her antics. He felt so happy that he bought this yacht for her. It was clear that she was ecstatic. Seeing her happy made him happy too.
They slowed down and Juliette stared ahead at the sparkling beach of an isolated island. Palm trees swayed in the breeze and the beach looked clean and the water was crystal clear. She could see fish swimming through the clear water. The yacht turned into a small cove and the engine shut down.
"Where are we, Xavi?" She asked, mesmerised by her surroundings.
"Welcome to Crystal Island. This is my own private island," he said proudly. The man laid the anchor and opened the side of the yacht and an extension protruded connecting the yacht with a bridge that led to a door in the cavern walls.
Juliette's eyes turned wide with fascination, "Wow, you have an island?" She asked.
"Yeah, I bought it last month," he confessed.
The man unloaded their luggage onto the bridge. "Thanks, Bob," said Xavion and the man smiled and went back to the yacht.
They picked up the luggage and walked through the door through a tunnel, and then into a clearing, with beautiful manicured sprawling gardens, with pockets of flowering plants neatly arranged. Swaying palm trees and a white hammock tied at a shady corner. There was a small pond with a gazebo built beside it. A sparkling fountain in the corner of the pond attracted her and she clasped her hands and whirled around, looking around the heavenly gardens.
"It's too good, Xavi. I could live here with you forever, " she said and Xavion just smiled at her indulgently.
"Me too, baby. I bought it only for you," he said as he led her down a paved path towards the end of the garden.
They turned and walked under a canopy of bougainvillea growing beautifully covering the entire arch connecting another garden. A sprawling mansion painted in white stood majestically on these lawns with mesmerising views of the ocean and the beach.
"Come let's freshen up," he said and they went inside. A stout housekeeper with kind eyes came forward, smiling, "Welcome back Xavion, lunch is ready, when will you both like to have it?" She asked, smiling at Juliette.
"Hannah, this is Juliette. Julie, this is Hannah, she looks after this house. You met her son Bob on the yacht?" Said Xavion and Juliette smiled remembering the man.
"Oh, hello Hannah," she said but Hannah came forward and hugged her to her ample bosom.
"Welcome sweetie, " she said leading the way inside.
"We'll serve ourselves Hannah, you can take the day off. Come in the evening to cook dinner," said Xavion and Hannah smiled and nodded in understanding and left.
"Does she live on the island?" Juliette asked and Xavion nodded.
"Yeah, their quarters are at the back," he said, leading her upstairs to their bedroom. It was a huge suite room with stunning views of the garden and the oceans. They could see the incessant flow of waves hitting the sandy beaches. The room had large tinted glass bay windows to let in the feel of the ocean inside the room. The room was done in a white and blue combination with a contemporary look to it. The huge king-sized bed looked inviting with its white velvet bedspread. A door opened to a wide balcony with a cozy loveseat and a swing adding to its charm.
"I love it," she said, going and sitting on the swing and swaying softly. It felt like she had come to heaven with Xavion.
"I'm glad," said Xavion, picking her up and sitting down with her on his lap. He pushed the swing slowly and they both rocked softly.
"I hope we won't fall to the floor. You're how much? 300 pounds?" She asked, grinning.
Xavion rolled his eyes at her. "You want to know how much I weigh? Let me climb on top of you and make love to you, you'll know," he said, his eyes flashing with desire.
He picked her up and took her inside the bedroom. Closing the doors, he climbed onto the bed and above her, supporting his weight on his elbows.
"Are you ready baby?" He asked, gently opening her clothes till she lay naked in his arms.
"For what?" She whispered.
"For making love," he said, stroking her naked body. His mouth captured hers before she could answer in a heated kiss, while his hands roamed shamelessly all over her body. He had lost control and knew there was no return. He had to be inside her.
